| Lombardi Golf Classic June 7-8, 2002 | |
| Julian discusses his participation in the event: "I spent another excellent weekend at the Lombardi charity golf tournament. It's such a wonderful cause, raising money for the Lombardi Cancer Clinic - this year the weekend's activities raised $250, 000. My golf, as usual, was inconsistent, but I haven't had much time to play this year (Soccer keeps getting in the way...That weekend, I even managed to find a Milwaukee sports bar that opened at six in the morning for the England-Argentina World Cup game!!) - however, it is a team competition and I did contribute to our particular effort with a couple of mighty swings!! For the golfers, there was the added attraction of Taylormade being one of the generous sponsors this year. This was my third time to Milwaukee for this special weekend and the people are so very friendly, from Bart Starr and his lovely wife to the terrific organisers and, of course, the great fans who turn up to support us... And, this year, I didn't even see a single mosquito!!!!" | |
